Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church International popularly known as Winner’s Chapel, has condemned the feminist movement. He lambasted people who are members of the movement who are called “feminazis” or “ndị ifenemenisi” in some social media quarters.
According to him, feminism leads to frustration and devastation. In addition, most of their idealogies stood against biblical teachings. He highlighted the bible teaching which says that women are to submit to their husbands and today’s women’s response, “No, not today, that was before. Right now, nobody can do that. We are co-heirs, male and female, no difference.”
He also lamented that feminist women are headstrong and refuse to listen to advice to their own detriment. In his words, “When they are told that this is the way to go. They respond saying, “No, let me educate you, God. You didn’t go to school, did you?”
He asserted that the teachings of the Bible are true, will remain true and can never be subverted. “It is the eternal truth no matter the level of civilization.”
He concluded by saying that feminists should avoid marriage because their marriages won’t work. “You either choose to follow God and His ways or go your own way.”
