It has been reported that Police are currently on the search for one Mr Emmanuel Okyere Baffour who is suspected to have stabbed his wife to death.
The suspect resides at Degede, a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.
It is said that he perpetrated the act after his wife threatened to divorce him.
The deceased, Mrs Joyce Johnes Afi Jassika had threatened to divorce Mr Emmanuel Okyere Baffour over innumerable issues. On hearing this, Mr Emmanuel started begging her assuring her that he has turned a new leaf.
However, she stood her ground and left for her parents house with her luggages.
It is alleged that the suspect visited her at her parents’ house while her parents were away and attacked her with a knife, consequently stabbing her numerous times.
On realising what he has done, he fled the scene.
The corpse has been deposited at the mortuary while investigations are ongoing.
