The Nigerian entertainment and arts industry has lost some of its finest and prominent talents to the cold hands of death. Just a few weeks into August, some Nollywood actors have suddenly died due to health crises or natural death.

Here is a list of Nigerian celebrities who died in August so far

Rich Oganiru

The veteran actor reportedly died on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 after battling with illness for months. Recall that about two weeks ago, Oganiru was seen in a video lying in his sick bed and begging for financial assistance. “Please, everyone should reach out before he dies,” the caption on the post reads.

Stanley Okoro

Nollywood actor Stanley Okoro popularly known for his comedy roles in movies has died. He died on Wednesday from a suspected case of food poisoning. His death came barely 24-hours after the death of Nollywood veteran Rich Oganiru.

 Doris Chima

Popular Nollywood Actress, Doris Chima, died after a prolonged battled with cancer. The actress until her death was a foundation member of Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and former vice-chairperson of Lagos AGN.

Chima had battled breast cancer which resulted to the affected breast being cut off in 2020 after she was diagnosed to prevent further damage.
