Samuel Ortom is the only Northern Governor that recently exposed how Buhari is handling insecurity. Just like Afghanistan, insecurity is the major problem in Nigeria today.

Samuel Ortom, the Governor of Benue State, has exposed President Muhammadu Buhari’s method of fighting insecurity in Nigeria. He compared it to the Taliban, the terrorist group that recently overthrew the Afghanistan Government.

Governor Ortom said this in a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, on Friday, In response to Buhari’s approval of a committee’s suggestions to retrieve 368 grazing locations across 25 states in the country. The statement was captioned “Presidency turning Nigeria into a cow republic.”

“In a country where insecurity is high, with hundreds of people killed by armed herders, bandits, and other terrorists, the President is only concerned about the safety of animals,” he said.

“The Buhari administration has turned a blind eye to unfathomable levels of livestock encroachment on Nigerians’ farms. Mr. President has never spoken out against herdsmen’s actions or the attacks they perpetrate on innocent people. The only time the President is heard discussing the herders’ atrocities is when he defends them.

“It is now obvious that the Presidency intends to throw the country into an avoidable crisis. Otherwise, what justifies President Buhari’s insistence on the establishment of grazing reserves across the country when Nigerians have openly rejected the policy and supported ranching instead of open grazing?”

“What is the difference between the Buhari administration’s approach to insecurity and the Afghanistan approach to Taliban?”
