CP appeals for calm as cops lament non-payment of allowances



Officers and men of the police tactical teams and special formations have lamented the non-payment of their three-month allowance.



Members of the tactical teams are those in areas affected by banditry in Niger State.



Members of the teams disclosed this during the first tour of duty of the new Commissioner of Police in the state, Monday Kuryas, to areas like Zungeru, Mariga, Rafi and Kontagora.



The teams said it had not been easy for them to cope with the non-payment of their allowances.



The CP assured them of regular and prompt payment of their allowances and other logistics needed to enable them perform effectively.
