Ngeria Girls Highschool has become the second institution after Arnesen’s Boys Highschool closed following the sudden death of students who were attributed to Covid 19.
The Kapseret based school was shut down after a night of agitation from students over the increased spread of Covid 19 and the mysterious death on one student last week.
According to Tuko.co.ke the charged learners piled pressure on the school management to explain under what circumstances student died.
The school Principal Susan Sawe is said to have informed the students that her fellow student succumbed due to preexisting health condition which was fronted by leukemia. However, the student did not get satisfied as they demanded answer on to why there was increased cases of Covid virus.
Students went ahead to carry out demonstration outside the school demanding that they should be sent home due to the increase of covid cases.
Parents however arrived at school where mass testing was carried out in order to curb the increase of the deadly virus.
One of the parents said that they received the message from school to rush but upon reaching, they were shocked being informed that they have to go back home with their daughters.
