Chelsea and Liverpool are both considered title contenders, and will square up in the Premier League on Saturday 28th August.

Current Form

Both teams currently have 100 per cent record in the Premier League after winning both of their games, Chelsea won both Crystal Palace and Arsenal while Liverpool won Norwich and Burnley, one or both of the will have to relinquish their 100 per cent record after the game on Saturday.

Head To Head

There has been no stalemate in their last five Premier League games, Chelsea have won two of those games while Liverpool have grabbed three wins. Picking a winner for the crunch tie tommorow’ will be a difficult one but it seems Chelsea currently have the superior squad to level up with Liverpool.

Key Players

Both teams have a plethora of top quality players but their most important players in their upcoming game will be Romelu Lukaku and Van Dijk, Chelsea recently signed the striker for a whooping £98m while Van Dijk has been Impressive since returning from injury.

A big performance will be needed from Van Dijk else Romelu Lukaku might end up dominating the Liverpool defence like he did to Arsenal, the key to shutting Chelsea down tommorow will be keeping Romelu Lukaku quiet for as long as possible.

Coach Tactics

As much as a big performance will be needed from the players the coaches also have a vital role to play, the game will also be a battle of two great tactical minds, Jurgen Klopp rarely factors his opponents weaknesses when setting up his team, it is almost like he puts out his team and tell them to go win the game.

Tuchel is fresh from winning the UEFA men’s coach of the year, he is a more cautious coach than Klopp, he seems to study the opposition very well before picking his troops that will get the job done, he has different tactics that has worked for him over the years, which tactics and line up will he be deploying against Liverpool.

LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp is likely to go with his traditional 4:3:3 formation, in goal Allison Becker will start, in defence Robertson will likely get the nod ahead of Tsimikas after recovering from a minor injury, Van Dijk and Matip will pair in central defence while Alexander Arnold gets the not at right back.

In midfield, Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho and Jordan Henderson will likely get the nod.

In Attack, the duo of Mohammed Salah and Sadio Mane will flank the Impressive Diogo Jota.
