Manchester city have agreed a deal to sign Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo according to renowned Spanish news outlet AS.

The Citizens are said to have turned their attention to the 36 year old attacker after itbwas confirmed that Harry Kane would remain at Tottenham Hotspur this summer. Reports in Spain now have it that Pep Guardiola’s side have already agreed terms for the 36 year old and would pay a fee said to be in the region of €30 million for the forward.

The deal will come as a surprise to many given that Cristiano Ronaldo recently debunked rumors linking him with a move away from Juventus on his social media pages. It seems like the forward have had a change of heart and would be leaving the Turin capital after three seasons in which he failed to lead them to the Uefa champions league trophy.

The Portuguese is said to want out of Juventus after the club’s hierarchy failed to keep their promise of building a team capable of winning the Uefa champions league with the Italian club failing to reach the Semifinal stages since 2017.

The forward will now join Manchester city where he will have better chances of winning the Uefa champions league and potentially another ballon d’or award with the transfer set to be confirmed in the coming days with only small details of the deal remaining to be completed.

Ronaldo’s impending move to city will also come as a big blow to Manchester united fans who were hoping to see the Portuguese winger make a sensational return to Old trafford only to see him join their fierce rivals instead. The forward will link up with Pep Guardiola at the Etihad stadium where he will be expected to bring goals and lead the club to a first ever Uefa Champions league title.
